BIKES FOR THE PHILIPPINES
"The lack of public or private transportation is a significant contributing factor to the ever increasing school drop-out rate in rural Philippines. It is not unusual to have several public primary schools built around a town however, as the children get older the public elementary schools (grades 4 – 7) are fewer and further apart and the one public high school located a distance too great a hardship to get to for many.
Students may need to walk over 3 km (2 miles) one way on rough back roads with no access to or ability to pay for public transportation. Some walk greater distances. A family’s situation often requires a child to complete chores before and after school. The school day starts at 8 and goes through 5 making it necessary for some to walk to school in the dark and after school chores leaving them with little time to do homework at night.
In an effort to ease the hardship of simply getting to school, Bikes for the Philippines, in partnership with
Bikes for the World in Arlington, VA., was born. The program offers free bikes to qualifying students."
Hi! We are CW Music Musicians!
In December 2016, we are FLYING DOWN TO THE PHILIPPINES to support Bikes for the Philippines in a joint concert to raise funds for the charity.
CONCERT with Angono Regional Highschool of The Arts
at ONSTAGE THEATRE in GREENBELT 1,
Makati, PHILIPPINES DECEMBER 22nd, 2016.
... but to do this, we request your assistance to help us get there with our music instruments. Your sponsorship is greatly appreciated and we will do our absolute best to share your blessings with the children in the Philippines!
This is a huge task, but a beneficial one to not only support the youth in the Philippines, but to instill humility and altruism in our young musicians. In order to meet our mission, we rely on the generosity of individuals and businesses for support. Without the assistance of community-minded individuals just like you, we wouldn't be able to serve those in our community.
We ask that you support our cause by making a cash donation or any other type of donation that you think might help us. Sponsorship opportunities are also available in part with our help with Vancouver Television & the Ms. Vancouver organization. Your Generosity will make a difference in our community by allowing us to continue in our work. For business sponsorship opportunities which include TV advertisment, please email
