Vocal hygiene is integral to developing and maintaining your vocal skills. And we’re not talking about having good breath (but that’s important too)! Pitch, tone, and projection are affected by your anatomy – the way you breathe, the way you engage your muscles, and the way you think affect every bit of your sacred instrument – your voice.
Piano/Guitar-voice-combination lessons are a popular choice for students, as musicians study two disciplines in one sitting as opposed to learning each independently with different teachers. The study of self-accompaniment is unique as students take away the ability to hone their own potential in improvisation and music interpretation!
Special: C.W. Music students are encouraged to also enroll in group lessons. Group lessons are fundamentally rewarding to all students involved. See "Group Lessons." Discounts applied for students enrolled in both group & voice lessons!
Beginner Piano/Guitar special: $40 (hour) lesson for piano beginners with a Student-Teacher apprentice
New students wishing to "try out" a piano or guitar lesson with a CW Music student-teacher may take 30 minute lessons for the special $40 hourly rate.
This is an excellent option for students to try out the piano or guitar before advancing to higher-level teachings!
*only offered to beginner students with little to no guitar or piano experience. Advanced/experienced students are required to enroll with a full-time teacher.
GROUP VOICE LESSONS
Many beginner musicians feel more comfortable playing an instrument in a group setting. Learning in a group is a great way to come to terms with the notion that everyone does indeed make mistakes! It is also an opportunity to learn tips and tricks employed by other players.
New Spring Group classes:
Instruments + Vocalists + Dance group
Ages 4 - 6: Tuesdays 6:00 - 7:30
Ages 7 - 9: Fridays 5:00 - 6:30
Rock band : Wednesdays 6:00 - 7:30, by audition
Rock band: Mondays 7:00 - 9:00, by audition
Group sing-and-dance/Rock band sessions are excellent choice for the musician seeking to work with others in a holistic environment. We have two instructors (voice & dance) to work on sing-and-dance productions for our recitals. Unique to the studio, we treat these lessons as small ensembles where there is focus on consistency, harmony, and all-around team work thus encouraging each voice to contribute to the group's unification and quality. See examples in our media section!
Students also enrolled in private piano/drums/guitar studies may find an opportunity to perform as an instrumentalist/accompanist!
Every voice is important - and students will learn to find confidence and pride in their voice while improving on their technique, tone, breathing, and emotional musicality.
